What is Teton?
How does Teton work?
The Teton system creates a real-time digital twin of each resident, giving staff a complete, continuous view of their wellbeing, without the need for wearables. The system uses discreet in-room sensors to understand everything from sleep quality and respiration to walking speed, mobility, and risk of potential falls. It alerts staff in real time to changes or risks, helping them act faster, reduce disturbances, and deliver truly person-centred care. Teton empowers care teams with deep, data-driven insights into each resident’s daily patterns, making it easier to spot early signs of deterioration, personalise care, and improve outcomes, while protecting privacy.
Teton set up sensors in residents' rooms, which can give you information about the resident via text and animations. There are two ways in which staff can interact with the Teton product;
- Mobile app
- Desktop product on computer or tablet
Depending on how staff interact with residents, determines which of the versions of the product they will use.
The mobile application has been built out to support floor or ward workers, e.g. care staff, nurses, etc. who will work on the ground with the residents. The app allows these staff members to receive alerts regarding the residents movements, keep on top of any changes in resident health e.g. sleep or respiration patterns, and understand the current state the residents are in.
The computer and tablet access has been built to support care operator and home teams with a deeper insight into the data. This includes all of the information in the App, and also includes the Teton Department View and Data Platform. These tools allow you to better understand overall trends and insights across a home.
The system displays the residents' activities in real-time. You can see if a resident is in the bathroom for an extended time period, or if a resident with a risk of falling leaves their bed. You can also click on individual residents for further information, such as changes in their activity level or sleep.
The system is a universal tool that provides you with an overview of the department's residents. For this reason, we try to avoid telling you exactly how and when to use the system. We believe that the best way to use the system is by learning the basic principles, then experimenting with it in your own routines, and thereby figuring out how it can fit into the way you work.
