How do I navigate the data platform?

Understanding the data platform

The data platform lets you gain insights into health trends, incidents, staff hours per patient, and much more with our comprehensive data analytics platform. 

This comprises the following metrics:

  • Resident/patient health score - this is a measure of the overall health and wellbeing of residents. This score is made up of:
    • Sleep score - a measure of the quality of a resident/patient's sleep
    • Activity score - a measure of the activity of residents
    • Mobility score - resident mobility based on whereabouts
    • Daily bathroom visits - number of daily bathroom visits per resident
    • Walking speed - the walking speed of a resident
    • Respiration score - the measure of regularity of a resident’s respiration rate 

  • Incidents score - this is calculated by combining the fall rate with the staff's reaction time to incidents. This score is made up of:
    • Fall rate - the number of falls per resident per 1000 days
    • Number of falls - the number of falls that have been confirmed by staff
    • Reaction time - the time taken by staff to respond to falls
    • Lay time - the amount of time the resident is on the floor 
    • Opportunities for fall prevention - the number of falls that could have been prevented
    • Falls per hour of the day - the number of falls per hour of the day

  • Staff score - the staff score is calculated by combining the reaction time, logins per resident, wake ups and time spent in resident rooms. This score is made up of:
    • Logins per day - the number of staff logins per day
    • Logins per resident per day - the number of staff logins per resident per day
    • Logins per hour - the number of staff logins per hour per day
    • Staff time per resident - the number of minutes staff spend with residents per hour of the day
    • Staff actions - daily staff activities and the average time (minutes) spent on each task per resident per day
    • Staff wakeups - the number of wakeups caused by staff during resident sleep per resident per day
    • Number of staff visits - the number of staff visits per resident per day
    • Staff visit length - the length of time staff spends with each resident per day
    • Risk settings - the number of residents with each risk settings set by staff

  • Service levels:
    • Monitored beds - the number of beds being monitored
    • Uptime - beds being actively monitored
